Hey Readers...
Long time.. yeah.. extremely sorry about that.. Have been trying to write something since last couple of days until I got a chance today.. (even right now I am at the center of a swirl. But my thoughts !!! just wander and fly every 0 secs... )
Actually I just got off a web cast on Social media. It was a good one.. I knew most of the things discussed so just waited for a surprise. Anyways there was realization instead of a surprise while I was going through this web cast. Realization of all the powerful tools available today out there and our inclination towards them..
I remember seeing an IN/OUT flips on the doors of people like doctor, consultants, lawyers, professors etc.. As a kid I found that funny.. why would anyone want to say on their doors that they are in or out of their office/house.. That question tickled me and at times (at that age) me and my friends even played around by flipping the In sign to Out or Out sign to In : )
As I grew up and see the times changing hand in hand with the technology, I notice that there were so many things which I saw while I was a kid which have being powered by technology now..All these things are worth saying a 'wow' everytime you do a 'Then and Now' analysis.
Twitter is one such phenomenon in the social networking space. You know its so simple to create an account and add friends or groups?? Then you can write a short message which tells your thought process, actions or even describes your mood and lets everyone see whats going on in your mind.... I think these messages are really cool. Even though they are so compact and small they may turn out to be very powerful.. Few right words are better than 1000 words, remember?.. You have to make it 'the best' in these few words..
Now how would these messages a.k.a tweets reach your target audiences.. I have not tried this but would like to give it a try. I am planning to create a corporate profile on Twitter and add as many people I can [mostly business people]. Then I will start updating my status on Twitter. I intend to do this in such a way that my current message is little incomplete without the next one.. (just to increase the curiosity).. My aim would be to lead my readers to a point which helps them in a way or other. Also I plan to create a group and give regular updates there.. Then use the twitter links in my signatures so that anyone can follow me..
I think there are many things you can do with this.. this has a great potential in terms of viral marketing.. Lets try it and share experiences.. Also if any of do not know much about Twitter and want to try this, then refer to this wiki article. It will give you sound knowledge about it..

I hope I succeed in what I plan to do.. Also plz share you experiences if you are already using this..
ciao...

Hunt Big Sales
I have been always looking on the web for resources that helps cracking a big account. Since our marketing strategy based on the 'Pull method', we really have not bothered to hire few telecallers and make them do cold calls. We have a team of sales people however they are more like consultants and help prospects in making right decisions. But I think we should try the traditional method too but with an improvised approach.
While researching, I stumbled upon this site - http://www.huntbigsales.com. Have any of your guys checked this? I read the stuff there, downloaded some ebooks and gave a direction to this whole thing. All the resources on this website is free and enough to help you to formulate an organized attack.
Here are few ebooks which you might be interested in http://www.huntbigsales.com/ebooks.php.
Download and share this info !!

M-Commerce
I am sure this term doesn't take you by suprise, but how many of us have really tried this form of advertising / marketing?
Let me feed some information here about M-Commerce..
Mobile Commerce aka M-Commerce is the ability to conduct commerce, using a mobile device. We have seen Mobile ticketing, location based services, information services, mobile banking etc.. latest being mobile advertising and marketing.
iPhone and Android being the next big thing, we see its user being multiplied double four times every day now.. There goes a tough competition between these providers making them almost ubiquitous. My CEO says that almost all the businessmen and servicemen in the US and Europe countries carries these utile device.
I tried using Google Mobile advertising programming [which was beta, I guess] around a year back.. It was not so cool then.. Google is even calling it off, I read somewhere...
Being optimistic by birth, I decided to try researching a bit more about mobile advertising. After reading a few articles here and there I realized I was running into this a bit late.. quite late I would say..
Immediately I started looking for providers who supported advertising on iphone/android. I found one - Admob.com. I have still not tried it.. I am evaluating this provider currently.. I am actually looking for advertisers who have tried this.. I am checking their forums and trying to foresee the results..
If anyone tried this, do share your experience. I will share mine soon : )

7 Effective Ways To Enrich Corporate Blogging
Seven deadly sins ... Seven ways to win....Seven holy paths to hell....And your trip begins
Seven downward slopes...Seven bloodied hopes....Seven are your burning fires...Seven your desires....
: oh I am sorry... what am I doing.. I wanted to start off with 'Seven' but struck a wrong note.. btw the above lines sound good when Bruce Dickinson sings it..
Coming back to 'Seven'.. I wanted to share 7 important things that any corporate should implement before and while launching corporate blogs. We have been hearing every now and then about corporates starting their own blogs.... We even have bunch of agencies doing this job for companies.. they are ghost blogging.. we see a lots of competition today in the social media marketing space.. I have been reading lots of article on the web to know blogs better.. I liked couple of them.. and would be sharing it with you today..
Blogs is like an interactive and informative kiosk between the corporates and its envoirnment. Getting the best of it should be the whole and sole aim of this activity..
Going back to 'Seven', here are few things you should focus before taking this up..
1) Stay tunned to your objectives - Every blog has an objective. Your company could be looking at hiring or brand building or leadership or innovation. Choose a focus and drive your point across through the blog. A focussed blog does much better than others.
2) Two way conversation – Speak as a first person giving Your take on issues and your analysis. With regards to company blog which allows employees to blog this should be of prime importance as each employees having the opportunity to express his/her own thoughts can positively impact team building as well.
3) Respectful Conduct – Any person, company, religion, political party or any other issue whether Indian or international should be referred to in a respectful manner.e.g. – government policies are terrible. The government can surely do better with the policy framework on.
4) No Speculation – Refrain from speculating on financial or strategy information about Your own company or any other public information about other companies or individuals without proper facts.
5) Non Disclosure – Personal confidential and legal proceeding oriented information should not be disclosed whether about your own company or other individuals Colleagues.
6) Plagiarism – Please give Credit where it’s due. Oversight is ok but ignorance or blatant copy paste without linking is just terrible.
7) Respond Proactively & Disagree Respectfully - With regards to comments Respond Proactively & Disagree Respectfully. Make sure your response is positive and not defensive or offensive.
